Dear Readers:
To those readers where Vietnam and student protests of the '60's is not a history lesson the question is has President Obama come to a Lyndon Johnson moment? Protesters have taken to the streets. Soldiers are dying in overseas wars. Real inflation is on the rise. Gas and food prices are higher that a year ago. People feel the President is out of touch with the populace.
The only thing missing is actual racial inequity. To be clear, it is not like the sixties. God, to ignore the progress made, and the dumbing down of those terms. Other countries may still have these problems is worse case scenarios, but our advancements over them can not be ignored. There is economic inequity that crosses all lines. There are those who wish to keep people in perpetual victim hood, there bye relieving them of responsibility of their personal choices. My statement in 2011 is accurate and acknowledges progress made.
Now prominent Democrat talking heads have written an editorial in The Wall Street Journal (11/21/11) suggesting that for the good of the party, for the good of the country, President Obama declare he will not seek re-election. In a piece titled "The Hillary Moment"
by former Carter pollster Pat Caddell and former Clinton pollster Doug Schoen, they make a compelling argument that Obama should step out of next years presidential elections. They believe should he step down, that Hillary Clinton would get the nod by acclimation.
The thrust of their argument is that Obama has lost the support of the people and even should he win, will not be able to govern. Not only that, but by being on the ticket, he will bring the rest of the party down to depths not seen since 1952.
They argue that to win, Obama must wage such a "scorched earth" campaign, he would never get any legislation passed. He can't run on four more years of this. High unemployment, lousy housing market, energy costs through the roof, and the implementation of "Obama Care" whether the Supreme Court legalizes it or not.
No, the campaign now being waged, and only to get worse, is to scare the electorate into not voting Republican. You see it now, Republicans want grandma to die, are in favor of dirty air and water, are in the pocket of the rich, and want the poor to starve. He is acting like he just got to Washington, by running against a congress that has only been in power 11 months, hoping people forget he had both legislative branches for his first two years, and no matter what he inherited, his policies over those two year have only exasperated them.
Caddell and Schoen are right. Obama will assure Republicans control of both legislative houses. He must step out of the race like Johnson and Truman before him. Hillary would get the nod. That would be better for the party. However I am not so sure it would be better for the country. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

A "Do-Nothing" Congress Is A Good Thing
Dear Readers:
You are being told my the stenographers in the media that the "super committee" was a failure. These same people are telling you that congress is at it's lowest poll numbers because that have not accomplished anything. These conclusions are born of a mind set that government is and has the answers to our problems. It does not for it can not.
That the "super committee" has done nothing is only good news for us. We have a 1.4 trillion dollar deficit. We are 9 trillion dollars in debt. Yet these smartest people in the room could not find 1.2 trillion dollars over ten years to cut from government spending without increasing taxes. That is because those institutionalized government officials really and truly do not believe government can not do with less.
This committee was bound to fail because the playbook of the President is to run against a "do-nothing" congress and there is no way the Democrats on this committee would allow any accomplishment for it would negate the President's re-election agenda. Proof of that is that the Republicans did offer 500 million dollars in revenue enhancements (read that as increased taxes) and the Democrats walked out of the room.
This bring us to the second point, congresses' poll numbers. The Republicans were voted control of Congress not to work with the democrats and the President, but to thwart and overturn the havoc they wrecked on this economy during their two years of total government control. That the establishment Republicans did what they always do, compromise their principals to look like they are reasonable people, to get good reviews in the media, is why their numbers are low.
They truly believe that last November was an aberration. They think voters had a temper tantrum and cooler heads must prevail. They too think that they know what's best, not the voters. The "tea Party" anger that gave Republicans control of Congress has not waned, it has grown angrier.
Look at the debates. Romney represents the establishment Republicans and he can not garner more that 25% of support. The anti-establishment is still a strong 75%. This is telling.
The real problem is that both parties are still doing what they think will keep them in power. Trying to get re-elected is more important than doing what they were elected to do. For that a pox on both their houses. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PEEKSKILL CITY COUNCIL:A Bazzo Editorial: Treating People Like Garbage Just To Be Fair
Dear Readers:
AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PEEKSKILL CITY COUNCIL:
Item: Taxi cab fees have jumped from $260.00 a year to 335.00 a year. Hack licence was $125.00, now $175.00 That money does not go to the Police Department for enforcement, but to the general fund. Now you may be told that these monies are earmarked and allocated when the police budget is allocated. However like the lottery where those monies are said to go to education, it is not in addition to what would be allocated, but in lieu of monies allocated.
Item: The original intent of the taxi code review was to get a handle on cars and drivers. Part of that intent was a moratorium on new cars and drivers. It was allowed to expire. I was told be elected officials that there was not time for another public hearing to extend it. Who's fault is that? The moratorium extended thru August, September and October. Instead of keeping track and updated on the status, these politicians were TOO busy running for office to give a damn. Their desire for power superceded the needs of these small business owners. It was easier to let the moratorium expire and raise fees. Bottom line is that the council made it more expensive to do business and harder to make up those increased costs by allowing more cars and drivers on the road. Everything for their convenience.
Item: All new codes treat everyone at the lowest common denominator. We are to be treated like the worst among us. We are all potential drug addicts, reckless drivers and possible criminals. Those whose records shows excellent driving, no criminal convictions, or even allegations, are not rewarded for their efforts, but treated like crap. Being a law abiding citizen is a negative, you are lumped in with all the rest. Playing by the rules means nothing. Yet because when you read the papers, you see everyday another corrupt official in the federal cross hairs, if I were to lump all elected officials as corrupt, they would scream like stuck pigs saying that is not fair, look at my record. Take that into consideration. Well, I am saying the same thing, look at my record and take that into consideration. Why are my costs increasing (fingerprinting and drug testing) to pay for the sins of others. Why are my taxi fees increasing because you were so busy looking out for your self interest, you neglected mine.
Item: Like I wrote before, the council is hell bent on raising our liability, and therefore our insurance costs by thousands of dollars. This despite the fact they must have state approval. This despite the fact that we are in a recession and it is not projected to end anytime soon. Again, the lowest common denominator. No matter how long you have driven with a good record, you must be punished. By God you will be punished.
There is something inherently wrong with a mind set that believes you treat everyone like crap just to be fair. There is nothing fair about that. It is no way to treat law abiding small business owners.
Anthony J. Bazzo 11/17/11
P.S. BTW: I have been told by unofficial sources that there is an upcomming meeting about the liability issue. Why have I nor other taxi owners been notified. Is it because you do not want us there when you shaft us?

Obama's Job Creation Lies
Dear Readers:
One day the members of private sector unions will wake up and figure out that government wishes to stamp you out. All they really want are public sector unions, which they can control. Government controls the purse strings. Those public monies are used to pay wages, benefits and pensions of public sector workers.
You donate to their campaigns and in return, we will protect you and your job even if it means economic ruin of the private sector.
It is those evil corporations that employ private sector unions. Every dime taken from the private sector for government use is money the private sector can not use for workers compensation and hiring. One day these private sector union workers will wake up to this reality.
Case in point. The Keystone XL pipeline. This pipeline would pass through Montana, South Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Texas. It is estimated it would bring in more than 700,000 barrels of oil per day from Alberta, Canada, to the Texas Gulf coast. Now after four years of revue after revue after revue it has been put on hold till after next years elections by the Obama Administration to keep the tree huggers in their camp. This was even after the State Department’s recent Environmental Impact Statement found that the pipeline would pose few environmental risks.
This means that the estimated 25,000 private sector union jobs, the 100,000 private support jobs from new investments in small business and the projected $5.2 billion in property tax revenue as a result of building the pipeline are on hold till after 2012 just so those anti-energy people will continue to elect Democrats.
As I have pointed out before, high energy prices we experience are not by accident but by design. This would not lower prices with new oil, but stabilize prices by making up the lose of oil from Venezuela. It is the stabilization of the free flow of oil that calms the markets.
So during this new election cycle when you hear the President and Democrat Party leaders talk about job creation, know it is not private sector jobs but public sector, those requiring tax dollars to exist, they wish to create. The President and Democrat leaders do not give a whit about the private sector for they can not control them, their lives and count on their donations to their campaigns. This is about money and power and keeping it the hands of Democrats. Get your arms around that, and you will be a wiser voter next year.
This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

Another nail In Liberty's Coffin
Dear Readers;
Seven-Sky v. Holder, is latest of the "Obamacare" federal lawsuits concluding it is constitutional which was decided on Monday 11/07/11. In a 2–1 ruling, the court upheld the health law’s mandate that forces all Americans to purchase health insurance. One part the court agreed with the vast majority of other judges that the individual mandate is a penalty, not a tax, and therefore that the parties do have standing to sue. (Had the individual mandate been declared a tax, under the Anti-Injunction Act, parties don't have standing to sue until the tax goes into effect in 2014.
The other part, the one that turns the meaning of limited government on its head, and pretty much rips the constitution to shreds the majority ruling citing the 1942 case of Wickard v. Filburn, in which the Supreme Court ruled that Roscoe Filburn could not grow wheat on his own farm for his own animals’ consumption, because doing so would frustrate the federal government’s scheme for wheat price controls, which President Roosevelt instituted during the Depression.
It uses this case to justify the government's premise that the health insurance market is a rather unique one, both because virtually everyone will enter or affect it, and because the uninsured inflict a disproportionate harm on the rest of the market as a result of their later consumption of health care services.
However the court missed the most selenite point. All ruling based over the years on Wickard v. Filburn were on the producers, not the consumers. The initial ruling may infer the farmer may or may not grown a certain amount of wheat, but it certainly does not in any way, shape or form mandate that the consumer must buy any product made from wheat.
This what the individual mandate does. It forces a consumer to purchase a product under penalty of fine or imprisonment. The government may regulate insurance companies, but it can not make you buy it. If this ruling is allowed to stand, our constitution as we now live under it will be a meaningless piece of paper.
It is why we can not rely on the courts to invalidate "Obamacare". We must vote in those to Congress and the Senate next year that will repeal this odious law. If you believe this is not an imperative, that your life and relationship between the federal government and you will be forever altered in the worst possible way, that we will be slaves to the government, then you are dangerously mistaken. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

Bazzo At Work Editorial: My Final Thought Before You Vote On Tuesday 11/08/11
Dear Readers:
My Final Thought Before You Vote On Tuesday 11/08/11:
Yorktown Races:
In my final column for 2010 In My opinion, I wrote that I wished to see David Paganelli in elective office by this time this year. He is running for a council seat in Yorktown. You can on Tuesday make this possibility a reality.
Fact is Yorktown is going in the wrong direction financially. When you see a unanimous vote to spend 4 million dollars on electric meters as one of their last acts before Tuesday’s vote, you know that at present this entire board is out of sync with the electorate. 4 million dollars we really do have, and for what, TOYS!!!!
When you see the present Supervisor’s proposed budget that makes the spending cap by gutting Highway Department funds and nobody on the board speaks up about it before the election, you know they are out of tough with the electorate. Fact is this present board from the Supervisor on down (except Councilman Bianco) has had it in for the Highway Superintendent from day one, residents be damned. We need road repairs, drainage repairs and sidewalk repairs, that is the function of the Highway Department, and to do these things, money must be allotted. These were sacrificed for electric meters that according to my research are not effective and have had to be removed from towns that utilized them. These were sacrificed for political purposes and maybe a touch of vendetta.
David Paganelli does not have a personal agenda as his reason for running. He is a local business man who over the years has used whatever advantages at his disposal to give back to the town that has given him so much. David Paganelli will not vote based on his relationships with various members of Yorktown government. He will vote as he says, on what he believes is best for Yorktown. I know him and believe him.
He maybe will not always be right, but you can be assured he will be pure of heart. I do not care who else you vote for in Yorktown, you can or can not vote for Westchester Legislator, Town Supervisor or a second pick for the council, though you should make a choice on the other races. However I must on this final day before the election, urge you to make sure you vote for Davis Paganelli if you want to change the direction this town is heading.
Peekskill Races:
Two things Peeksill voters must accomplish on Tuesday is 1) Make sure Darren Rigger is a councilman and 2) make sure a Republican is on the council.
As for Darren. He has the widest political resume of anyone running locally. It is this resume that Peekskill with it's more diverse population than it's ,neighboring communities that would be invaluable an asset on the council. His approach to politics is also an asset as he does not have the evil gene and will make the political discourse less divisive. No matter who else you vote for, I urge you to make one of those votes for Darren Rigger
One party rule is never a good thing. Even if it's the party I would support. The loyal opposition must be heard. People have to know there are opposing ideas. So if it's the mayor or a council seat or even both, Peekskill voters must make sure a member of the opposition party is represented on the council.
This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.
Anthony J. Bazzo

Just in time for Tuesday's Yorktown election
RUMOR HAS IT….
ACCORDING TO MY SOURCES
:Just in time for next weeks election:
In the first weeks of January 09, the new Yorktown board headed by newly elected Supervisor Siegel voted to de-consolidate Yorktown’s highly successful attempt at consolidation initiated by acting Supervisor Alice Roker and removed Highway Superintendent Eric DiBartolo as Director of Labor Relations (a title to accommodate his lack of an engineering degree, proving you don’t need a piece of paper to get the job done in a cost effective manor) and instead at greater cost installed David Rambo as Provisional Water Superintendent.
Now according to my sources, Supervisor Siegel wishes to install Mr. Rambo as head of the Department of Environmental Conservation along with being Provisional Water Superintendent with a bump in pay of around
$20,000.00 a year. To do this she is trying to buy out the present Department of Environmental Conservation head with a lifetime of town taxpayer paid medical benefits. As with all jobs that serve at the pleasure of elected officials, it is only a good idea if you can place your people there. Where this proposed idea at consolidations fails as compared to the last time it was tried, it leaves out Parks and Recreation and the Highway Department, Sewer and Building Maintenance. Plus Mr. Rambo will be provided with a new car.
It also seem that to get to the desired place of 2% tax cap in the Supervisors latest budget, she guts the highway paving funds and drainage repair funds. She also eliminates a position in the Water Department presently employed by an 18 year employee who had no idea they were retiring until notified by the Supervisor. Also gutted, all part time help in Highway Department, and all side walk repairs. Is there a vendetta?
Since Mr. Rambo has headed the Water department, over time has increaded over 46%.
Also in this time of belt tightening, the entire board voted to spend 4 million dollars on new electric meters. So much for fiscal austerity. It seem other municipalities have tried them and they do not work and uninstalled them.
LATEST POLL RESULTS:
ACCORDING TO MY SOURCES:
County Legislator:
District 4:
Kaplowitz 14 points over Murphy
District 1:
Testa 25 points over Kane
Yorktown Supervisor:
Peters 5 points over Grace, Siegel 8 points behind.
Yorktown Council:
Paganelli up by 5 points, Bianco 1 point over Campanero,, Martoano 12 points behind.

Flat Tax Is Fair Tax
Dear Readers:
Here is why President Obama and the Democrat Party's class war fare platform for the 2012 elections is so disingenuous. If you earn $50,000 a year or more, you are in the upper 10% of wage earners in America. You also pay 97% of all income taxes. The minimum income that qualifies to be in the top 1% is $343,000 a year. If you make $343,000 a year and up you pay 47% of all income taxes.
So you see the rich, those millionaires and billionaires are actually not just those in the top 1%. Also the top 1% actually do pay their fair share. If you include state and local levies the top 1% are taxed at about 59% if their income. The top 10% when all is included pay and average of 48% to various taxing entities. So you have hard working people, most small business owners, having over 50% of their income confiscated by various government entities to pay for life's losers and parasites who think they should be immune for this recession.
The Occupy Wall Street people are right about one thing. The present tax system is unfair, but not for the reasons they state. 49% of the wage earners pay no taxes on their income, including FICA as they get most of that back in earned income tax credits. They have no skin in the game. Is it any wonder why polls show almost 50% of the people want to tax even higher those wage earners who actually do pay taxes.
This is why any kind of flat tax is deemed unfair. It would force those living on the public teat to actually pay their fair share, which they do not now do! The Democrat Party and RINO Republicans live to govern another day on the votes of the 49% and those with success guilt's vote. The political ruling class needs them permanently dependent so as to have the power to run their lives.
The answer to how we get out of this deficit mess, this on going recession is to put more people in the tax base who have skin in the game. It is not increasing taxes on those already paying but adding to the ledger those who pay nothing. It is a tax code that encourages people and business not to hoard money, or hide it off shore, but to put it to work in America.
Yes, a flat tax would be fairer even though it would make some pay more in taxes than they do now, because now they pay nothing. There is nothing fair about that. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

Peekskill 2011 Races w/ Endorsements
Dear Readers:
Here is a look at the local Peekskill races:
Mayor:
Candidates: Mary Foster (D-WF)--Tony Washington (R-C)
Peekskill being home to more than it's share of low income residents makes this not a simple campaign. It is not like its neighbors where lower taxes is primary concern. They do have an obligation to their neediest, which both parties agree must be met. How and how much lies the difference. Their Police Department handles a wider variety of crimes that it's neighbors. Public safety is their highest priority, as the poor are most preyed upon by the nefarious. To do all this and not scare away the tax paying base is what this election is about. It is not about racism, though some would like to make it that.
First thing I noticed is that so far at least twice Mayor Foster has joined with State Senator Greg Ball at the Senators events. It was only last November that as far as the Peekskill Democrats were concerned he was the devil incarnate. I can understand Greg's motives, he is after all State Senator of entire district 4 which includes Peekskill, I is Mary's that perplex me. Does she alienate her voters by being seen with the Senator? After all they were told how wrong he is for the job.
Second thing I noticed, is the Senator Ball has not endorsed the GOP team like he did with the Yorktown GOP team. Is it an oversight? Is he playing the odds?
Third thing is there are no debates. Neither team has gone to the mat to make them happen. No debates only help incumbents.
Prediction:
All election with an incumbent running becomes a referendum on their leadership. The question is has Mary ticked off enough people to lose? The other question is Tony a reasonable alternative? Answer those question and you have your winner.
My Pick: Washington
Council:
Candidates: Don Bennett (D-WF)--Steve Woods (R-C)--Darren Rigger (D-WF)---Barbara Kerasiotes (R-C)---Kathleen E. Talbot (D-WF)--Joe Brady (R-C)
Rigger was Democrat Chairman when Democrats swept all Republican out of office. Bennett has been in office 8 years, is that too long? I think not, but 12 years, maybe? Brady was past Councilman in the nineties. Has he kept up with the changes in the political and economic landscape is the question he must address.
Democrats have has one party rule for four years. Have the residents grown dissatisfied with that non-balance? Not having checks and balance is never a good thing.
Prediction:
Democrats will not lose majority. That was easy to predict. However, voters will split ticket and elect one Democrat and one Republican just to keep things interesting.
My Picks: Rigger(extensive resume, from Presidential to local, plus working for most powerful N.Y.Congressman an asset that would help Peekskill)---Woods---Kerasiotes (needed to make sure opposition side heard).
This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

Yorktown 2011 Race With Endorsements
Dear Readers:
Here is a look at the Yorktown Town Board races:
Supervisor Candidates:
Don Peters (D-I-WF)----Michael Grace (R)---Susan Siegel (C-Yorktown Better Government)
As New York is one of four states that allow the addition of votes on all lines, Peters with three has an advantage. Peter's biggest negative is perception that his laid back approach meant he was not in charge. Two years ago he let Siegal define him and perception stuck Grace has made same mistake by allowing Siegel to define him as a part time Supervisor should he win. Nobody knows Yorktown better than Peters. Nobody knows government better than Siegel. Nobody knows the law and regulations better than Grace.
Running Yorktown like a fiefdom hurts Siegel.
Prediction:
This race in real terms boils down to Grace and Peters. Grace would win in a landslide if New York did not allow counting votes on all lines, but it does. Peters would win if Siegel was not on the ballot, but she is. Siegel is the spoiler. Who ever votes Siegel pulls from the least win this race.
My Pick: Peters will by attrition.
Council Candidates:
Dave Paganelli (R-C-I) ---Nick Bianco (R-C-I) ----Rich Campanero (D-WF)--James Martoano (D-WF)
Martorano and Bianco suffer from long-term-incumbent-itis. Mortorano 20 years. Bianco 16 years. How much "throw the bums out" mentality plays in this race will be a factor remains to be seen, but it is a factor they can do nothing about. Paganelli and Campanaro have difficult task of un-seating incumbents. Can they make the case that change will be better for Yorktown is question they must adress.
Bianco and Martorano have run adds taking credit for everything good in Yorktown. However, life is two dimensional. The must also take responsibility for Rt. 6 and Rt. 202 corridors and an increasingly empty Jefferson Valley Mall. They must take responsibility for perception that Yorktown is not business friendly. Can not blame everything on economy, as vacant store fronts were going on before economy tanked.
Capanero is this years Paganelli from two year ago, running for name recognition, though association with YAC helps a lot. Also Camanero is a one note candidate advocating more playing fields and open space. This is not this years primary focus for voters. Paganelli came very close last time out. Lead primary pack with most votes even more that Supervisor candidates. He is the 800 pound gorilla in the room. His candidacy threatens the re-election of either Martorano or Bianco . His presence on the Board would change entire demeanor of Town Government's interaction with residents. Will not tolerate rudeness or fools.
Prediction:
Voters will split ticket voting in one incumbent and one newbie, while voting out one incumbent and one newbie. It will be interesting to see which incumbent voters want back.
My Pick: Paganelli time has come, will be biggest vote getter. Bianco is incumbent chosen to stay an consituant service saves his day.
This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

Looking At Wsechester District 1 & 4 Races
Dear Readers:
Here is a quick snap shot of some upcoming local races as we head into November 8.
Westchester Legislative District 4:
Candidates:Mike Kaplowitz (D-WP)---Terrence Murphy (R-C-I)
Kaplowitz is the sitting incumbent. Murphy is at present a Yorktown Councilman. This by the numbers will be Kaplowitz's most difficult races. Murphy has 3 lines, Kaplowitz 2. Obstacles for Kaplowitz are 1) long term incumbent. "throw the bums out" mentality" is in play. Not much he can do about that. 2) State of county government and taxes. He has to separate himself from Democrat majority, yet at the same time take credit for being part of the negative tax increase from this years budget. 3) Affordable housing settlement. Leaves a bad taste in most voters mouth.
Murphy's problem is that it is very difficult to un-seat an incumbent, minus a scandal. Mike is so beige that the scandal option is out. Also when it comes to budget numbers, Mike is the smartest person in the room. Smarter than the other legislators. Murphy has to make the case that change in representation is in District 4's best interest. Mike has made his case, Murphy has not closed the deal yet. Prediction: Winner squeaks by with barely over 50% of the vote.
MY PICK: Even though Murphy has R-C-I, Kaplowitz barely pulls it out in a recount
Westchester Legislative District 1:
Candidates: Mike Kane (D-WP)---John Testa (R-C-I)
Testa is the sitting incumbent and County Executive is Republican, those plusses help John. Kane has same problem as Murphy, un-seating a sitting incumbent. Testa's problem is that as of now he is in the super minority. Democrats on Board of Legislators do not need Republicans for veto over-rides. That may change after November's elections. Very good chance for Republicans to pick up one or two seats. If that happens, it makes John a player should he win re-election.
If Kane should win, he will still be part of majority, as Democrats will not lose that, no matter what happens in other races.
Kane on the other hand has to articulate why he can serve District 1 better than present representation. His palm card highlights issues I find hard to equate to County Government. It does however highlight Mike's idealism, which in and of itself is not a bad thing. Character and principal's do matter. Prediction: No competitive race in Cortlandt hurts Testa, helps Mike as only Democrats on most of ballot. John needs a better showing in Peekskill than last race because of Cortlandt. Who ever wins Yorktown wins race.
Kane while being a good candidate, has an uphill climb.
MY PICK: Testa, having R-C-I is the difference
Next week I look at Peekskill and Yorktown. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

Citizen vs. Citizen Must End
Dear Readers:
DIVIDE AND CONQUER, is a great war battle plan that has been adopted to politics. IN UNITY THERE IS STRENGTH, and there-by the protections of our freedoms and liberties. That is why politicians wishing to take them away have utilized the opening battle plan. DIVIDE AND CONQUER, you see in the class warfare utilized by politicians regarding taxes as a way to redistribute wealth and punish success. They(put your boogey man here) have too much, more than they need the greedy so and so's, let us tax and/or take that excess and after we the government get our take as the middleman, give you the crumbs. You are too stupid to achieve success yourself, you are the perpetual victims of the (put your boogey man here), and so we will take care of you, and you will keep us in office as way of thanks in perpetuity. Never mind that it has never been proven that the punishment of success has made the less successful, successful. It did however grow government and increase its power over you.
Private property owned by private citizens and your rights be damned!!!!. We the government will use environmental and zoning codes to usurp your rights of ownership. Oh, by the way, we are coming into your home, and there is not a damn thing you can do about it. Toilets, shower heads light bulbs, we use the myth of man-made global warming and the dunces that still believe in it to divided and so weaken your defense of your ownership. Guess what? We the government have succeeded,
DIVIDE AND CONQUER, pits the smokers against the non-smokers, the successful vs.the envious of that success, auto users vs. flat earthers', property owners vs. renters and doing so, we can trample all the rights we want. The problem with these laws against private business, private property, and private citizens regarding a legal product presumes our rights come from government and therefore can be taken away. The problem lies within the premise of our Constitution and the founding document of our country the Declaration of Independence. That premise being that our rights come from a higher power and CANNOT be taken away, even for our own good. Right now the ruling class want you to believe our rights come from the government. THEY DO NOT!! The power of the government comes from the consent of the governed. This is what makes our government different.
You think I am being extreme, well you should remember, the Supreme Court, presided over by nine popes ruled that carbon-dioxide is a greenhouse gas to be regulated by the government. Carbon-dioxide, that which you exhale with every breath you take, is to be viewed as a pollutant. That is the door that has been opened, and your freedom of movement is in serious danger. Do you really think the high cost of energy is by accident?
This year is a local election year it is your local governments that are trampling rights. To protect your rights you MUST protect every bodies' rights. You must not, allow government to DIVIDE AND CONQUER. You must this November speak up and say I DO NOT CONSENT. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

How Creeping Tyranny Starts
Dear Readers:
"I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won't hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that." This quote was made last week by Democrat Beverly Perdue, the governor of North Carolina at a rotary club event in Cary, NC.
Recently I wrote a column where former House Speaker Democrat Nancy Pelosi said Republicans and Democrats should come together so that it would not matter who won elections. Last week I wrote about lawmakers and a web site that wish you to tattle on your fellow citizens for doing perfectly legal actions.
I told you this is where tyranny starts. It started with "political correctness", which is an end run around free speech. Like hate crime designation legislation, it criminalizes thought and word, equating them with actual deed. Then you have the politics of envy. Class warfare, where you are to hate those who do better than you as if the only way that could happen is by someway or some how nefarious deeds. No personal responsibility on your part. No action by choice or omission by you can possibly be the reason. You are a perpetual victim.
History does not start when you wake up in the morning. Nor did it start when you were born. History is. The lessons of history are there only if you look. The reason why history is not put on the level with math and English is so it will be easier to re-write it. Still if you look hard enough, the true lessons of history can not be erased.
That lesson which we are living now is how creeping tyranny starts. I can only happen if you allow the ruling class to convince you that certain citizens, thoughts, achievements are enemies of the people. The ruling class codifies itself by making you feel ,less and less an individual. "American Exceptionalism" is the celebration of the achievement of individual accomplishment. Thinking outside the box. Building the better mouse trap. Being all you can be. Overcoming and conquering life's road blocks. This is the American Dream and the political class wishes in the name of control, to wipe that out.
You can stop this by turning out of office those who wish to advance this creeping tyranny. That an elected Governor can actually want people to agree to postpone constitutionally mandated elections is part of that advance. Your liberties are at stake. You have a political class at war with you way of life. Only you can stop it. If you leave the battle to others, it will only lead to defeat. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

ARE YOU AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE
Dear Readers:
The State, Counties, various cities and towns pass laws they know are unenforceable. They send out their press releases from the highest mountain top proclaiming their latest feel good law saying thank me very much and remember to vote for me. Oh, by the way, all that is needed to get these miscreants is for you to tattle on them. That's right, you are to be the governments unpaid army of snitches.
You know the laws I am talking about. No Smoking in public parks and beaches. No idling your car for more than 3 minutes, just to name a couple. They even acknowledge these as unenforceable with out you tattleing. "See something, say something". The government wants you to equate smoking and idling your car in the cold with possible acts of terrorism, child abuse or rape. There is no equivalency, moral or otherwise between them. No, they want you to be that playground geek who can be heard yelling, "I'm telling......".
Now we have a new gossip web-site, "AttackWatch.com", running with the blessings of the White House. This operation asks citizens to hand over to them the names of those attacking the White House and saying negative things about the President. They want you to read columns like mine that oppose this Presidents programs and say "I am telling..."
These laws and web-sites are how tyrannies operate. They try to ,turn citizen against citizen. They wish to criminalize people using perfectly legal actions, smoking, sitting in ones car, criticizing government. It is the next step in codifying a ruling class, running in conjunction with their class warfare rhetoric. All it takes is for decent citizens to become tattle tales. All it takes is for you to hate and wallow in envy.
I think it is time for you to take a good long and hard look at these lawmakers and government officials who advocate and pass laws that require you to turn on your fellow citizen. Remember, life is two dimensional. Once you rat on your neighbor, they will have licence to rat on you. All it will take is for lawmakers to criminalize a legal action you partake in. It is in the realm of possible, as it is happening now.
Do not become part of the "I am telling" crowd. Nobody liked a tattle tell in school, and nobody likes them now. Vote out those who wish to make you one. Stop the ruling class from becoming a permanent fixture in your life. Stop them from making decent citizens enemies of the people. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.
