Dumbing Down The Electorate

Dear Readers:

Eight and a half percent unemployment, the economy is back. So we were told last week. The administration's economic polices are working. The media have so dumbed down our expectations that this is suppose to be good news. It wasn't three years ago when unemployment was at 5% and we were told we were in a recession. Told you that in this political season, with the main stream media in bed with the establishment politicians, truth would be the first casualty. It is being killed with the death of a thousand cuts.

There is a reported 200,000 jobs created in December. However the dirty little secret is 42,000 of them are seasonally adjusted couriers and messengers. They won't be there in January. The fact is the universe of available jobs is way down. The truth is if the same number of jobs existed in the country today as existed when Obama was inaugurated, the unemployment rate would be 10.9% We are being conditioned to accept the notion of a systemically high unemployment level as the new normal.

Our national debt is trickling ever closer to $16 trillion. Three years ago when Obama took office, the national debt was barely over ten! There are six million fewer jobs today than there were in 2008 when we were told we needed change in leadership. We needed a new party in power. So we put a new party in power. We gave the Democrat Party control over the executive and legislative branches with super majorities.

So here we are, $5 trillion in deficit later, millions on government benefits 'cause they can't find jobs, our annual deficit is 1.6 trillion dollars. After all this the best we can come up with is 8.5% unemployment. After all this we are told that Romney, Santorum or Gingrich would be worse that what we have now. That their personal baggage out weighs the incompetence now in place. At a minimum, if the election were held now, 40% of the voters would believe this. This is the power of the media.

Now you understand the emphasis on personal baggage on the leading Republican candidates. They must be demonized. Obama can not run on his record. The Democrat Party candidates for Congress and Senate can not run on their record. Here is how bad our economy is. Refined gasoline is now the top export of the United States, measured in dollars. That's right, first time in more than 60 years, a net exporter of gasoline.

The US is using less fuel because of a weak economy, so we have an excess supply.

This is real. The unemployment number are not. Demonization is in. Running on the record is out. Baggage in, platform out. Do not be fooled. Any of the Republican still standing with the exception of Ron Paul is a more viable alternative than the present incumbent for President. Do not become part of the 40% willing to be mislead. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.
