Dear Readers:
The State, Counties, various cities and towns pass laws they know are unenforceable. They send out their press releases from the highest mountain top proclaiming their latest feel good law saying thank me very much and remember to vote for me. Oh, by the way, all that is needed to get these miscreants is for you to tattle on them. That's right, you are to be the governments unpaid army of snitches.
You know the laws I am talking about. No Smoking in public parks and beaches. No idling your car for more than 3 minutes, just to name a couple. They even acknowledge these as unenforceable with out you tattleing. "See something, say something". The government wants you to equate smoking and idling your car in the cold with possible acts of terrorism, child abuse or rape. There is no equivalency, moral or otherwise between them. No, they want you to be that playground geek who can be heard yelling, "I'm telling......".
Now we have a new gossip web-site, "AttackWatch.com", running with the blessings of the White House. This operation asks citizens to hand over to them the names of those attacking the White House and saying negative things about the President. They want you to read columns like mine that oppose this Presidents programs and say "I am telling..."
These laws and web-sites are how tyrannies operate. They try to ,turn citizen against citizen. They wish to criminalize people using perfectly legal actions, smoking, sitting in ones car, criticizing government. It is the next step in codifying a ruling class, running in conjunction with their class warfare rhetoric. All it takes is for decent citizens to become tattle tales. All it takes is for you to hate and wallow in envy.
I think it is time for you to take a good long and hard look at these lawmakers and government officials who advocate and pass laws that require you to turn on your fellow citizen. Remember, life is two dimensional. Once you rat on your neighbor, they will have licence to rat on you. All it will take is for lawmakers to criminalize a legal action you partake in. It is in the realm of possible, as it is happening now.
Do not become part of the "I am telling" crowd. Nobody liked a tattle tell in school, and nobody likes them now. Vote out those who wish to make you one. Stop the ruling class from becoming a permanent fixture in your life. Stop them from making decent citizens enemies of the people. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

More Lies From President Obama
President Obama is a liar. The ruling class in Washington, Democrats and Republicans alike who say we can not lower the deficit with out revenue enhancements, which means tax increases are liars. All they wish to do is legally through the tax code, steal from you and redistribute your money to their favorites. Any one in Washington who tells you about billions, trillions, quadrillions, whatever, in spending reductions that will occur after this present congresses term expires is a bold face liar.
No reduction after this term will ever happen. Never has, never will. However the tax increases are immediate, as always. When you hear the term "millionaires and billionaires" read that as people making $200,000.00 plus and above. That's where the money is. You can close the loopholes on oil and corporate CEO's and that is about 60 billion dollars. The real loopholes that are on the cutting board are home mortgage and charitable deductions. That is about 400 plus billion dollars. As I said, that is where the money is.
Even if you take all the monies of people making over one million dollars a year, and you can only do that once, after that there is nothing left, it will run the government less than two months. This proposal as the President has laid out is class warfare and redistribution. It is you they are after. To run for election, the President and the ruling class will need the monies from the actual rich. Make no mistake, they will be protected. Their wealth will be secured.
When you are told that Warren Buffett pays less income taxes than his secretary, that is a lie. On his income he pays the highest rate. It is his capital gains, the profits he makes on his investments that is taxed at 15%. Those monies he invests have already been taxed at the highest rate. Buffett is a liar. In fact he has not paid his fair share on income taxes since 2002. The IRS says he owes billions since that time. Buffett has taken the government to court because he, like anyone else wants to pays less on his income. Not only is Buffett a liar, he is a phoney also.
No, the answer is reduction in spending. it is the only answer. However the President and the ruling class in Washington will not do that. They all want your money so they can spend it. Both parties are equally guilty is trying to con you out of your money. Spending is the problem. Getting it under control is the answer. Anyone who tells you it is lack of revenue is a damn liar. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

WHAT'S GOING ON IN YOUR BACK YARD
Dear Readers:
YORKTOWN:
I have received an e-mail sent September 8 from the usual gang, the "I hate Eric DiBartolo Club" . This is the day after last weeks heavy rain fall. It criticizes Eric for working his private job instead of personally chopping down trees on the roads and bucket by bucket removing water flooding the road ways. Problem is while there were downed trees and flooded roads, they were not town roads affected but state roads.
I had been in contact that morning with Eric, this is before I knew any e-mail existed, and he told me the state of the Yorktown roadways as their condition affects my ability to do my job. So I knew he was on top of any situation that would need his attention. This was also after Eric spent 87 straight hours handling the aftermath of hurricane Irene. Let's see anyone criticize his departments handling of that crisis.
Memo to the "I hate Eric DiBartolo Club": I get it. You do not like Eric. You wish he was not the Highway Superintendent. You think you could do better. You will not vote for him if he runs again. However, you had your shot with the State Comptroller's Audit Report. Eric is not a crook. He did nothing criminal worthy of resignation. The town was complacent. Corrective measures have and will continue to be implemented. Give it a rest already, you only make yourself look ridiculous.
PEEKSKILL:
There is a game of political football being played concerning a gentleman named Pat Conlon's desire to open a new business that happens to be a tattoo parlor.
Update link here: http://ncnlocal.com/ncnlocal_towns/peekskill/article_eede72e4-c1e1-11e0-a4a9-001cc4c002e0.html.
It is already a year and they still are only talking about changing the law. My sources are telling me that no one on either side of the isle want to deal with this before the election. My sources tell me that if the Democrats touch this the Republicans will ask "what's next a strip bar?" They are going to tell you the horror of a tattoo parlor in Peekskill. I don't know about any horror's as Yorktown has one in Mohegan and the bikers have yet to over run the town and make off with the women folk.
Respectable people ,have tattoos. You may have one. Are you going to let yourself be demonized for political purposes? Will Peekskill continue to play politics with a person's desire to open a legal heavily regulated business? It should not have to take a year to over turn a law. It should not take this long to open a business. No matter where you live, towns putting up unnecessary road blocks to business creation is a big reason on what this year's local elections are about. Remember this as you or your children or friends tall you how hard it is to find a job locally. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.

BALL WRONG ON FRACKING
Dear Readers:
I made a mistake. I thought State Senator Greg Ball was pro-jobs. I thought State Senator was for affordable energy. I thought State Senator Greg Ball for small business. Boy did I get that wrong. Greg Ball stands with the Working Families Party and political hacks like David Welprin in his stance against hydrofracking.
To “frack” a gas well, millions of gallons of water, sand, and chemicals, (yes, some are toxic), are pumped deep underground at high pressure. This fractures the rock that has trapped the natural gas and allows it to escape.
He says in a recent press release "“The gas industry stands at the precipice of earning billions of dollars from New York’s natural gas resources and has yet to sit down and answer tough questions about how they plan to protect our state." The first part is true. The gas industry does stand to make billions. He forgets to mention that so does New York State in fees and taxes. He also forgets to mention that the gas industry will generate 54,000 jobs, 24,795 drilling, mostly private sector union jobs, and 29,174 supporting jobs as small businesses open and hire employees to service these new drilling jobs. Deli's, corner markets, bars and restaurants to name a few. You are looking at a reported 2.5 billion dollars in annual wages. Greg Ball is against this.
The second part of the above quote is not true. The Department of Environmental Conservation, not a bastion of conservative bureaucrats, is initiating a 90 day public comment period. The norm is 60 days. Their reports states that whatever possible dangers there are can be mitigated with the new technics in hydrofracking. The report argues that tightly regulated drilling outside the water supply should move forward.
What Senator Ball want to do is talk about this for another six months. While people are worried about paying their bills and hoping against hope for a job, Greg Ball wants to talk. He has turned his back on the Republican Party and the Conservative Party. He now embraces the Working Families Party. For years I was his only defender in the media. I can not and will not defend him on this. He is wrong. If the people of Senate District 4 wanted a tree-hugging liberal, they would have elected Kaplowitz. This is my opinion, you may beg to differ.
