Dear Readers:
Here is where I am at this day before election day. I am totally ignoring positions on social issues. The only exception is United states Senate and that is where I add to the fiscal mix, who will vote for Supreme Court Justices that will be constitutionalists, not legislators. I do believe the New York state Senate will go to the Republicans, so I do not believe social issues will get to the next Governor's desk. So my votes will be cast on the premise who will best control the growth of government and who will best not only root out corruption but not be an enable by turning a blind eye when a colleague seems to be engaged at it regardless of party.
Governor:
Andrew Coumo is part and parcel a member of the establishment and the anointed prince of the status-quo. His silence regarding the leading Democrats caught up in the Aqueduct Racino scandal proves this point. His slap on the wrist style of justice for Steve Ratner and Alan Hevesi also prove this point. His silence as Attorney General regarding Congressman Rangels' breaking state law on owning rent stabilized apartments and tax issues on state taxes (if the IRS has problems the state must also), shows there is one rule for the people and another for the ruling class of which he has now shown he is a card carrying member. His acceptance of the Working Families party endorsement shows he will not stand up to the unions.
No my vote goes to Carl Paladino
United Stares Senate:
With their support of Obama Care, Cap and Trade, Banking and credit card regulations that have increased costs to the consumers for both, while not affecting the bottom line of banks or credit cards, and their willingness to let the "Bush tax cuts" expire show Senator's Schumer and Gillibrand have not the interests of New York as their priority but instead have put their ideology and party first.
My votes go to Jay Townsend and Joe DioGuardi
United States Congress:
John Hall also fits the above indictment of Schumer and Gillibrand's voting record and neglect of district he represents.
My vote goes to Dr. Nan Hayworth
New York State Senate:
Who will fight and not enable corruption? Who will not accept the premise that taxes have to go up but it just a matter of how high? Who will protect the two party system in regards to re-districting?
My vote goes to Greg Ball
New York State Assembly Districts 90 & 99:
Who will fight and not enable corruption? Who will not accept the premise that taxes have to go up but it just a matter of how high? Who will protect the two party system in regards to re-districting?
My votes go to Dr. Steve Katz (99) and William Gouldman (90)
