Bazzo Says: Starting Your New Year On The Right

Bazzo Says:

Taxing your patience

When your taxes are due in April, you will either need to send more money to Washington or you will be getting significantly less back. The following, listed in bullet notes below, took effect in January 2015 and are all part of the Affordable care Act. There was not one Republican who voted for these. However, it has been the Republicans that, since they were given control of the purse strings, have continued to fund this legislation. It explains why the Republicans have let this legislation stand. As I wrote in 2012 in another publication, it is the money.  They wanted the money and wanted to blame the Democrats.  Except, as I said, they control Congress and thanks to alternative media, people are being fooled less.

Here goes:

• The payroll tax you pay to Medicare went from 1.45 percent to 2.35 percent. Now you must remember, it was the Democrats that took $700 million out of Medicare and gave it to Medicaid. The reason was simple: Those on Medicare are old and die off. Those on Medicaid are significantly younger and will be voting for a longer period of time.

• The top income bracket went from 35 percent to 39.6 percent and the top payroll income tax went from 37.4 percent to 52.2 percent. That means more than half of what you earn is no longer yours. You have become the servant public.

• The capital gains tax went from 15 percent to 28 percent. Dividend taxes went from 15 percent to 39.6 percent. The estate tax went from zero to 55 percent. These are all monies that have been taxed already. So in the case of capital gains and dividends, you are being taxed twice. In many cases when it comes to estate taxes, you are being taxed three times.

• A new tax, the real estate transaction tax was created and it is 3.5 percent.

This is what senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand voted for. This is what Congresswoman Nita Lowey voted for. This is what Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney votes to keep in place. Remember this as your premiums go up. Remember this as you deductibles go up. Remember this as you lose your policies and your doctors. Remember this as the quality of your care decreases. Remember those who voted to screw you.

Climate change hot air

From the UK Daily Express: “Climate change shock: Burning fossil fuels cools planet.” According to the story and new data released over the holiday from NASA: “Major theories about what causes temperatures to rise have been thrown into doubt after NASA found the Earth has cooled in areas of heavy industrialization where more trees have been lost and more fossil fuel burning takes place.”

It still comes down to this: Whatever it is you believe on climate change, global warming (man-made or otherwise), there is no data. It is all based on computer models predicting the future. There is no data that conclusively proves that we are causing the climate to change. If there were, there wouldn’t be any scientific disagreement. Ruining our economy, ruining the fossil fuel industry, making transportation less safe based purely on the computer models is just like altering your life after visiting a fortune-teller who gazes in their crystal ball.

The Trump card

The Republican Party, pseudo-conservative talking heads, the media and of course Democrats, claim the Republicans need to broaden the base to include blue-collar, Hispanic, independents, women and minorities. According to recent polling data, again released during the holidays, these people are who makes up the Trump support base.

A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows something of a surprise: Trump’s likely strength can be detected by looking at Republican primary voters who live in counties with large African-American and Hispanic populations.

From the report: “Trump does particularly well in counties that the American Communities Project calls Minority Centers. Data from the last three polls show Mr. Trump has the support of 34 percent of Republican primary voters who live in those communities.”

Also according to the Analytical Economist: “When it comes to Trump: his strongest supporters are registered DEMOCRAT.”

You need to know, that the first two topics show why there is unrest among voters polled. They have lost faith in the establishment. They are tired of being lied to and screwed over. These polls, released on purpose during the holidays when most are not paying attention, show that Republicans and Democrats have reason to worry. All they thought they knew about winning elections are about to be thrown out of the window.

This is what I say. What say you?
