Bazzo Says: A Seminal Election

Bazzo Says:

Barack Obama is the second-most effectual president in my life time (the first being Ronald Reagan). This is why I believe this will be the most pivotal election come November in my lifetime.

Should Hillary Clinton win the presidency, Obama will become the most effectual president ever. He said he wanted to transform this country. He has succeeded to a point. Should Hillary win, he will have cemented that transformation.

What exactly is that transformation? Well, for one, and race plays a big factor in this, the press has become part of the government. They invested everything in him to the point where they threw Hillary under the bus in 2008. Because the press is mostly made up of Democrats, they mostly agree with the path this president has chosen. So, his failures are either excused or covered up, because his failures would also be their failures. The press has succeeded in dumbing down the electorate. Well, those that vote Democrat, anyway.

They have accepted minimal economic growth as the new normal. They have accepted that this country’s best days are behind it; that this country was founded on a lie and the time has come to pay the piper. They have accepted that because Congress does not green-light his policies, Obama can, by the stroke of a pen, dictate what he wants. There are no checks and balances when it comes to the wishes of this president. They have accepted that any failure is not that of policy but enemies real or imagined.

This president has armed Mexican drug cartels (fast and furious) in an effort to gut the Second Amendment. He has used the IRS to go after his enemies. He has bugged the phones of members of the media. He put an innocent man in jail to win an election. He did what Richard Nixon only talked about doing. The press has let him get away with all of it. They did so because he went after Republicans, in general, and conservatives, in particular. These are the same people the press sees as enemies more dangerous than those trying to kill us.

This president set out to transform this country into something it was not founded to be, and has had a lot of success. He has transformed the Democrat Party into a movement, where party becomes the be-all and end-all. He has turned the press into a Praetorian Guard manning the gates. He has been aided by a Republican Party that has sat by silently just thinking there’s nothing more here than an academic debate going on, waiting for their turn to govern.

To show you how in the tank the media is, how successful this president has become and how this is not your father’s Democrat Party, Kevin Williamson wrote a column last week in National Review: “The Democrats’ Theme for 2016 Is Totalitarianism.”

From the story: “At the beginning of December, Rolling Stone writer Jeff Goodell asked Secretary of State John Kerry whether Charles and David Koch, two libertarian political activists, should be considered ... ‘an enemy of the state.’”

Charles and David Koch (damned in Democrat circles as the Koch Brothers), owners of Koch Industries, are wealthy Libertarians (they are usually painted as conservatives). They raise money. They donate a fortune. They believe in traditional American values. They employ tens of thousands of people. It is these people that Rolling Stone magazine goes and asks John Kerry whether they should be considered enemies of the state? The reporter goes on to ask the same question about Exxon and their stance and funding of climate change that challenges the government template.

Think about this question and its premise: People and corporations that happen to disagree with the government and its policies are “enemies of the state.” Do you know what kind of language that is? As a representative republic, where government rules with the consent of the governed, there is no such concept in the U.S. Constitution. After all, we are only talking about domestic politics and competing ideas. This kinds of phrase, “enemy of the state,” this kind of status occurs only in dictatorships.

John Kerry responded that he “looked forward to the seizure of Exxon’s assets for the crime of proselytizing impermissibly about the question of global warming.” Again, think about the enormity of this. You have a secretary of state who is unafraid to say that he’d be perfectly willing to seize Exxon’s assets. ExxonMobil is a worldwide multi-national corporation. Here come Kerry willing to seize assets, simply because of the way they talk and fund research about global warming that disagrees with his beliefs. Yet this press is silent. This press compares Trump and Cruz to dictators. Trump went after non-citizens. This secretary of state is willing to go after citizens.

This is why polls show support for Trump, Cruz or anybody who is not an establishment candidate. Could it be? Oh, the horrors of patriotism. I will tell you what it is not. It’s not racism or sexism or bigotry or any of these other “isms” or “phobias.” It’s people who love their country, who see it being snatched away from them, who see it being transformed before their very eyes. They see a country at war with its people against their consent. That is if election results still matter. A government that sees those who disagree as the enemy of the state. Electing Hillary or any other Democrat will cement this change for which there will be no hope.

This is what I say. What say you?
