Bazzo Says: Laying Blame Where It Belongs

Bazzo Says:
BY ANTHONY J. BAZZO
OF YORKTOWN NEWS & MAHOPAC NEWS
TITLE: Laying Blame Where It Belongs

I found it interesting that six years into Hope and Change, we have the president, Democrats and media types blaming Bush and/or the Tea Party for everything gone wrong in the universe—from Iraq to the economy to immigration to climate change. Now, six years in, with the effects of the policies, laws, regulations enacted by this administration (and the Democrat Congress he had for his first two years) coming home to roost, the media is telling us that we must not affix blame. We must not hold the president or Democrat Party accountable because, well, they care and they tried. Their intents were noble and we must rise above the blame game.

This new “lets rise above the blame game,” comes as a Pew Research Center poll shows more voters see Obama as the worst president of the post-World War II era. This is happening because of policies that have been put in place by Obama since 2009 and Democrats in the House and Senate when they were in control from 2007 to 2009. This is happening because people believe the IRS targeting political opponents, Benghazi, NSA spying on citizens, this influx of children across our borders, are real scandals, not political witch hunts. It is happening because people know this administration’s economic recovery as spun by the media, is a false positive.

Quick thought: Imagine if the media covered Obama they wait they covered Bush. First of all, if they did, Obama already would have been impeached. Secondly, Obama never would have gotten re-elected. The same media that ran an anti-Bush propaganda campaign for the last six years of his presidency and have been running a pro-Obama propaganda campaign for Obama since he came on the national scene and the public STILL sees Obama as worse than Bush. Remarkable.

I want to add that people also blame the Republican-controlled Congress, whose poll numbers are worse than the president’s, for this mess also, but for different reasons. Republicans were put in charge of Congress in the midterms of 2010 to stop this president from enacting his agenda aimed at “fundamentally changing” the greatest nation on Earth. Not only have Boehner and the boys (and girls) not stopped the president, but often times they have been complicit. Republicans have enabled Obama to extend the debt ceiling and increase the national debt, increase the size and scope of our pathetic, treasonous federal government, and have largely done nothing to investigate Obama’s unconstitutional political war against conservatives.

The ironic thing is that Boehner owes his speakership to the Tea Party Revolution of 2010, yet all he has done is try to destroy the Tea Partiers/conservatives in Congress. Conservative Americans are outraged.

Here is why this president’s numbers have tanked and will bring the Democrats running for re-election down with him. The U-6 number, which is the report Obama’s media will not write about, counts everybody not working, whether they’re trying to find a job or not. The U-6 unemployment rate is 12.1 percent. Twice as high as the U-3 number—6.1 percent—that is being reported.

From these reports we find among his strongest base support—teenagers—their unemployment was 21 percent in June. For the last five-and-a-half years, teen unemployment has been in the 20 percent or higher. Under President Bush when he still had a Republican Congress and Senate in 2006, teenage unemployment was 14 percent. When he left office with a Democrat controlled Congress and Senate it was 20.7 percent
To those who wish to spin the Pew poll as an outlier, recent Zogby and Quinnipiac polls also show declining support for President Obama. According to the numbers, he has lost two points among men (44 percent approval to 42 percent approval) and four points among women (49 percent approval to 45 percent approval). Breaking it down further, Obama dropped five points among 30- to 49-year-olds (51 to 46), four points among Democrats (81 to 77), seven points independents, (39 to 32), seven points among liberals (83 to 76), six points among Hispanics (73 to 67) and 10 points among African-Americans (86 to 76).

The president’s underwater support is one of the many reasons we are seeing a resurgence in the “War on Women” and other liberal clap trap. Obama, Harry Reid and their media minions must change the topic. They are counting on people, specifically women, to be stupid. How nice.

They hyperventilate as they decry the Supreme Court’s “Hobby Lobby” decision, though they fail to tell you the truth. Obamacare requires the coverage of 20 approved types of contraception. Hobby Lobby provides, and will continue to provide, 16 of them. Four of them Hobby Lobby chose not to provide, on religious grounds. They were not going to pay for drugs that kill a human embryo. The Supreme Court affirmed they have a right not to provide such coverage based on the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act signed by President Bill Clinton (one of the countless Democrats to wage an actual War on Women) after it was introduced  by our own Chuck Schumer.

This Supreme Court ruling does not deny access to contraception, even those four specific ones. Due to a 1963 Supreme Court ruling, access to contraceptives cannot be denied. All that was affirmed was that based on the 1993 law, Hobby Lobby does not have to pay for those four types of contraception.

One must understand that the contraception mandate was not part of the original ObamaCare Law passed by Congress and signed by the president, or the law found Constitutional by the Supreme Court as they were not the same law.  It was an edict handed down by the secretary of Health and Human Services at the direction of the White House.

So, it remains to be seen whether or not the “do not blame” template works in the long run. The American people are very easily brainwashed, especially when emotions and feelings and mindless slogans are used in the brainwashing process, such as Hope and Change, class warfare, the war on women and the poor, save the planet, nobody should be forced to go without health insurance, etc. etc. At the moment, however, people are directing blame where it belongs.

It is time, in the words of President Reagan, “Don’t be afraid to see what you see.” There are real scandals and real cover-ups going on right now and despite the spin, the growth of our economy remains pathetic and nobody on the right is waging a war on women or anyone else.

No longer should Americans be afraid to tell this administration and federal government that their laws, rules, regulations and policies are not working and in fact have made things worse. We gave Hope and Change a chance (why?) and have gotten only the hope we will have some change left to feed our families with. When a president and a political party rule against the will of the people, as they are now at nearly every turn, they sever the bond of consent that allows them to govern.

I have not even brought up what Obama is doing on our southern border…
Even though it has taken six years, the people are catching up. The polls show it. The ruling class (Democrats and establishment Republicans) does have reason to fear the voters (assuming they vote just once) this November. You cannot fool all the people all the time.
This is what I say. What say you?
