Bazzo Says: The Real Harm Of Climate Change

Bazzo Says:
BY ANTHONY J. BAZZO
OF YORKTOWN NEWS & MAHOPAC NEWS
TITLE: The Real Harm Of Climate Change

So, there it was, in last Wednesday's Daily News: "EPA declares hydraulic fracturing can be done safely.” Not only that, it touts the well-paying private sector union jobs that have been created because of the advancements in this technology. It boasts of the 133,000 jobs created in Pennsylvania alone. It does not break down how many are directly related to "fracking" and how many are support jobs. It closes with a shot at New York, pointing out how this jobs boon has evaded New York because our governor is still “studying” it.
This is the same federal EPA that proposed new rules regarding carbon emissions derived from coal mining. According to representatives from the affected states, these new rules will cost about 10,000 private sector union jobs. What does this tell us?

It says that as far as Gov. Cuomo is concerned, the people in the Southern Tier of New York can drop dead as long as preventing "fracking" advances his re-election. It says as far as this governor is concerned, we will continue to send our money over to countries that hate us for our energy resources, as long as it advances his re-election. It says as far as this governor is concerned, that you and I can continue to pay the highest energy rates in the country as long as it advances his re-election. It says that if you vote for this governor, you believe the same.

But Andy, but Andy, we are talking fossil fuels and the latest scientific studies are saying climate change is here and we cannot stop it!

This is what my critics say. In response I say it must be easy being a mind-numbed robot. Critical thinking is not necessary for those on the Left. How many of these doomsday climate predictions from the Left ever come true? Each time they are show not be incorrect, they get shriller and the predictions of doom become direr. Did you know that in commemorating the first Earth Day, there were 20 projections of what was going to happen in the proceeding 15 years? Out of those 20 predictions, none, nada, zilch—came true.

As for the statement that we cannot do anything about climate change, well, duh! We do not cause climate to change and to believe otherwise is to believe life is one dimensional. The climate is changing. It has changed since the beginning of time. It was only 500 years ago that Greenland was farmland. To presume we can stop the climate from changing, one must presume that what we are living in is the norm. It is not! The “norm” is always changing.

There is no scientific method as taught to us in high school to prove we are causing a change in climate. All studies, not matter what side of the aisle you are on, are based on computer models. These models are programmed by human beings with agendas. Those agendas being to keep the continuance of grant money that pours in from the government. If these scientists say all is well with the climate, the grant money stops and they do not eat.
These programs are based on the starting point that we are living in what should be the proper climate. You are to believe that all that led up to this point was necessary to reach this declared proper climate, and that the climate changes up to this point are to end. The conclusion is that if changes in climate have not ended, it is our fault.

So, based on this conclusion, we must bankrupt the coal industry, condemn to poverty large portions of the country, outlaw the incandescent light bulb, continue to increase the CAFE standards of automobiles that result in scores more deaths than Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom combined, monitor cow farts and then ultimately outlaw capitalism. Finally, the real goal!

And throughout this ridiculous process, we must not judge the people who believe this climate nonsense based on the consequences of their actions, no matter how harmful they are. We must judge them on supposed their intent. Because…they care so much.

Bull!

If these “Climate McCarthyites” (except, when it came to commies, Joe was largely right) had an iota of compassion, they would acknowledge the harm, and re-think their positions.
But Andy. but Andy, these were unintended consequences.
I say, bull!

In fact, I will go so far as to say that not only were theses consequences predictable, but intended! They were intended to rob us of our money, our liberties and our way of life. They were intended to impose on us a ruling class of un-elected bureaucrats to lord over us. Don't believe me? Look at their answers and see which of the above they do not rob us of.
From all the calamitous predictions when I was in school, to the new ones in the 70s, 80s and 90s—remember the poor Ozone Layer!!!—none of which ever came true, the only lesson we can take from predicting the future, it is a waste of time.

Although, according to Al Gore’s 2006 calculation, the earth will cook sometime in 2016. I have a feeling, that like the Mayans in 2012, Al will be wrong (again) come 2016.
All off life is fluid, so the only way one can correctly predict the future, is if everything stays the same. That is not going to happen. Like the person you see every New Year's Eve with the Sandwich Board that says the world will end tonight, one day it will end—I think. But if the world does indeed end one of these days, it will not do so as a result of anything we have done. Heck, we have dropped Weapons of Mass Destruction on cities that are now totally rebuilt and in better shape than Detroit! I guess only liberalism gone wild can truly ruin a city!

So the climate will continue to change, and we cannot stop it. It is time to stop harming whole communities for something we cannot do anything about. It is time to stop voting for those that cause that harm for their own re-election.
This is what I say. What say you?
